robotframework-lsp Error : Unable to activate Robocorp Code extension because python executable from RCC environment was not provided.

Describe the bug I am getting an error when I tried to do the “Robocorp: Create Robot” as mentioned in the tutorial Install Robocorp's RPA software - Visual Studio Code with Robocorp Code extension.

I tried the same steps from my Macbook and its my personal pc. There is no firewall or antivirus installed here.

The same error is getting when I am trying from my official windows laptop which has some proxy in it. Anyone can help?

It seems something is bad with micromamba when creating the environment.

Note that if you're experiencing the same issue in another OS, it'd be interesting to include that info too (it could be a different problem...).

Hi, This seems odd; the only thing that comes to mind is something broken during the download of the micromamba executable.

So maybe the first test is the micromamba executable working at all:

Quit your VS Code instances
Go to: ~/.robocorp/bin
Run: ./micromamba --version ..you should see printout: 0.22.0

In any case delete the executable and restart VS Code, RCC will retrieve micromamba if it is missing. If you hit the problem again you should use the Submit Issue to Robocorp function via command-palette, because that will provide us the logs for the extension to see what is going on.

I believe that'd be a different issue on Windows.

For Mac I believe the version you're using is too old (10.12 is from 2016) -- micromamba is presumably compiled in a much newer version of Mac, thus the incompatibility. @kariharju @vjmp can you confirm whether this is the case...

Yes, you are right. In windows (my office laptop) I can see a 403 error during downloading micromamba. But when I put the micromamba download URL in the browser, first is asking me to proceed or not. When I click on continue, it downloads micromamba.exe.

I'm also facing this issue on Windows 10.0.19044 after installing Robocorp.

I've tried using the pre-release versions of both Robocorp and Robot Framework Language Server, but it didn't change anything. I've also tried to manually update micromamba and rcc, but without any success.

After several hours, I finally solved my issue by setting custom values for channels , default_channels , and ssl_verify in %USERPROFILE%\.vscode\extensions\robocorp.robocorp-code-0.32.1\bin\create_env\conda_vscode_windows_amd64.yaml.

I also tried adding my custom values into these files, but the settings were ignored:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\robocorp\settings.yaml
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\robocorp\micromambarc

Note that these configuration files are ignored when Robocorp is installing:

${workspaceFolder}\.condarc
${workspaceFolder}\conda.yaml
${workspaceFolder}\robot.yaml
%USERPROFILE%\.condarc
%USERPROFILE%\.mambarc

I've also tried to set robocorp.rcc.config_location in .vscode\settings.json but it didn't work.

It would be important to be able to override default channel configuration used by Robocorp. I would like to deploy a default config with the project's sources.
