Ran the command `sudo reboot` right after posted the comment above. Absolutely nothing else done. Rebooted and I have have no sound now.
Updated to Alpha 4 and I am still having the issue. No sound for the **built-in** sound I can connect the Dell XPS 15 (9550) to my Caldigit TS4 Thunderbolt...
