Feedback on on some ideas
Hi,
I hope you're doing well.
I've put some ideas on the paper and I'd like your feedback regarding it: https://gist.github.com/abique/4c1b9b40f3413f0df1591d2a7c760db4
I think it is somehow similar to your work and your expertise could be useful.
Regards, Alex
Hi,
I can definitely see where this is coming from . I'll give it a good read tomorrow morning and I'll let you know if I have any input!
Cheers,
Robbert
Many thanks!
I'm concerned twice: I do the Linux port of u-he plugins, and I work for Bitwig. I'd love to have a nice solution around Flatpak.
Would you mind if I share this in #ardour on Freenode? The Ardour developers might also have some useful input on this, since they too run into dynamic linking issues with the binary builds of Ardour (which comes with a bunch of libraries that may cause compatibility issues with system libraries if the plugin does not statically link its dependencies).
Although I cannot comment due to lack of in-depth programming expertise. I am looking forward to exploring this process! Hopefully something good comes out of it all.

Sure you can share it as much as you want!
I don't really have a concrete opinion on what would be the best solution to this problem, but I still added some of my thoughts as a comment on the gist!
Thank you :+1:
Hi, how can i bridge 32bit. so vst for 64bit daw?. So i was madefor linux, no wine required
@vssasks Please don't ask unrelated questions on issue trackers, thanks! Since I'm replying anyways, Bitwig Studio supports exactly this.
I meant that you could add such support too. Anyway i dont use bitwig
Kind of strange to make support for windows dlls without making support to native linux ones...
