How to stop things moving around on their own?

As per title, things are moving around on their own (not dissapearing, moving around).

How to stop it? Couldn't see any option for turning off auto-arrange and I do not want it on (or understand why anyone would want it on).

Does this happen at startup or during runtime? Perhaps 'repel overlapping nodes' is troubling you when new nodes are created? Maybe a more elaborate description might help.
