Delete patchbay profiles from Patchbay menu

Open fpesari opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Right now you can only Create (New), Load, Save and Activate patchbay profiles from the Patchbay menu. It'd be nice if there was an option to delete* them as well.

* = which asked for confirmation, of course, otherwise one could accidentally delete their beloved patches! :joy:

i believe you can just remove the .xml file from the file-system (using your favorite file manager) and you'll be good with it ;)

I understand, however I asked this just for a matter of consistency, since you can already create, load and save a Patch, it would make sense to be able to at least unload them, so that they don't appear anymore in the Patchbay menu.

Sorry to post to a year-old discussion. I have the same question about deleting patchbay profiles. I tried deleting the .xml file, but the profile name remains in the profile dropdown menu and now qjackctl gives me an error message upon opening.

if previously activated you must turn that option off in Setup > Options > Connections...

Thank you for your help. I didn't have the connections box checked, but it seems that qjackctl always looks for the last patch used upon startup. I just need to make sure to leave the last patch in place.
