jackd2 used to have this (quite stupid imho) option to actively prevent client auto-connections--could it be that it's on on your case?

@ViktorNova : try setting GEN Env.Time up or to "Auto" which makes for the whole sample time length.
please configure your system to start and run "jack" properly! or else, set qsynth to use "alsa" or "pulseaudio" instead (cf. Setup > Audio > Audio Driver: ...)
