Placing Trees near an existing or cut down tree

Open abseabsmeier opened this issue 4 years ago • 6 comments

If i try to generate a tree near an existing tree, or where a tree has been before, that was either mined by hand or removed with worldedit, it seems like nothing's happening, but it generates the Tree with it's roots at the Bedrock layer(piercing through the Bedrock)

Trees are supposed to grow on top of the highest block in the block column where you activate the plug-in. Is that not happening? Are they growing entirely underground?

Roots going through bedrock is a bug.

They are growing completely underground, even if the topmost block is dirt or grass. It's not just the roots growing through the bedrock, but the bedrock layer is replaced with the stem of the tree. I looked in the code and didnt find anything that could cause it, but i have to admit i didn't dive too deep into it

edit: topmost block, not topmost tree
