Open Oskarella opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Describe the bug When I try to open Libation on my Mac (MacOS 13.6.3) it bounces at the dock, then opens for a millisecond and immediately crashes.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

Expected behavior Libation should launch.

Sorry about this crash. Thank you for the video.

  • What version of Libation is this?
  • Can you find a new Libation user folder with a log file?
  • Unfortunately I'm not the mac person. He did make this guide though incl. a video. I'm crossing my fingers that it might help you

Libation 1.11.0 x64 I can't find a folder with a log file I followed the guide to the point of "Running LibationCli", but it didn't work because I can't disable gatekeeper

I could start Hangover but didn't know how to use it to fix my problem

Still an issue as of March 3, but I was able to liberate most of my books, but it crashed during an import and now will not open after bouncing on the dock.

@joshweagle If you can still reproduce, do so (launch the app and let it crash), then open the "Console" application (you can find that under /Applications/Utilities or just launch it with Spotlight by clicking the Spotlight magnifying glass icon in the menu bar and typing, "Console"). In the left side bar of the Console application, you'll see "Crash Reports" - click on that and look for Libation in the list, though it might be under a different name. If you don't see it, post a screenshot and we can help you find it.

If you do see it, right-click on the entry and choose "Reveal in Finder" to show the file in Finder and attach it here. That will hopefully contain enough information to start diagnosing. Thanks for reporting this and for trying so hard to help!

hopefully this was useful info, Im happy to follow up with any questions or tips.
