Import > Locate Audiobooks only gets about half of the library
Describe the bug When I run Locate Audiobooks, I point it to the folder with my files, but it only returns 807 of 1844 and just hangs there.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to 'Import'
- Click on 'Locate Audiobooks'
- Select folder with books
- Locate Audiobook window freezes at 807
Expected behavior I would expect it to find all the books

Can you please tell me about some of the audiobooks that weren't found? Were they downloaded by Libation? Are they m4b or mp3? How old are they?
All of my books were downloaded as m4b with Libation. Some that were not found are recent purchases, as well as older purchases.

@anesone You said "it just hangs". Does that mean you've never seen a popup saying something like "Libation has found x unique audiobooks and added them to its database."?
Correct, I haven't seen that pop up. However, the ones it finds are green in the status section for each book.

@anesone I've been stumped by this, but I just had an idea. Can you try downloading the chardonnay version of libation and see if that can find all of your files?

I tried Chardonnay. Still no joy. I got to thinking about it, and sorted my library by date modified. It looks like the scan is starting with the oldest ones and works toward current. The scan hangs at 8/7/2022. The next book is from 8/8/2022. [image: image.png]

Interesting find! What happens if you move that book out of your books folder and do the scan? Does it continue past that point? If so, I'd be very curious to see what's in that file.
I moved the last book in the list out of the folder, to no effect. It just went to the next previous book and stopped. I put it back and removed the first one that wasn't captured by the import. It still stopped at the book before it.
