Libation won't open on Mac

I hope you can help me with this issue. I really want to use libation and I promise to give a donation if I can get it working. When I try to open libation I get a dialogue box that lets me choose New User. When I click on that box, the dialogue box disappears, but nothing happens and libation is not open. So when I try it again, same thing happens every time. I ran all the terminal modifications that I found here Libation/Documentation/InstallOnMac.md. I also tried downloading and installing both the Libation.12.4.3-macOS-chardonnay-arm64.tgz and the Libation.12.4.3-macOS-chardonnay-64.tgz but both of them did exactly the same thing and failed to open. I am running Sequoia 15.5 (24F74).

That's frustrating. It feels like maybe Libation isn't able to write the initial files so there likely are also no logs to examine.

@Mbucari Any ideas on how to debug something like this?

You are correct. I did look for a log file that was related to this but found nothing.

Try this:

1. Open Finder
2. Finder menu > Go > Go to Folder
3. Enter /Users/mbucari/Library/Application Support and press return
4. In that folder, do you see a folder named Libation?

If you do see the Libation folder, delete it an try running Libation again. If you don't see that folder orLibation still doesn't work, try to find a file named "LibationCrash.log" in your user folder (~/LibationCrash.log) and post it here.

I had the older version and tried to open it but it would just spin and nothing would happen. I downloaded the newer version and received the same screen as above. I clicked 'Returning User' and followed the steps and now Libation will open and it says 'Scanning' at the top but there are no books showing up.

No, I was not able to get it working so I just gave up and used a different method to download the Audible books.
