DeSmuMAR.exe doesn't open no matter what I do

DesMuMAR.exe simply won't open. When I double click the .exe, all that happens is a command line window flashes open for a split second before closing again. It doesn't allow me to set it up. It never lets me input a screen aspect ratio, and there isn't a DeSmuMAR.ini file for me to edit the settings.

I've done everything in the instructions

• I've installed DeSmuME 0.9.13
• I've installed .NET 6.0
• I've extracted all the contents of the zip to C:/Program Files/DeSmuME. They're all in the exact same folder as DeSmuME.exe, none of the files are in any subfolders
• I've set DeSmuMAR.exe to run as administrator
• I've set DeSmuMAR.exe as the default program for .nds files

Restarting my PC doesn't fix anything, neither does deleting and re-extracting the DeSmuMAR files.

Sorry for the late reply, just this is one of my least-loved projects. I'm surprised there's no better solution to DeSmuME aspect ratios yet.

Anyway, can you try opening CMD or PowerShell and run DeSmuME through that? It's likely erroring on launch, then closing since the program's instructions have finished. If you open in CMD/PowerShell the error will stay in the shell and we can proceed from there.

Also, I presume it's the newest version you are trying?
