Definiton of OEF and self-consumption & OEM and self-sufficiency

Open SabineHaas opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

The sources for OEF and OEM, see documentation lead to two papers that define self-sufficiency and self-consumption.

[1] on page 1203, formula 8 and 9 and [2] on page 10, formula 3-9 and 3-10

Seems like in [1] there's made no difference between including losses or not, while in [2]: "electricity generated from PV panels that is being used in-house in every instance, either immediately or later in the household after storage in a stationary or EV battery. The energy lost as heat during charging/discharging is not considered as self-consumed, and therefore, is not included"

@smartie2076 I don't know where OEF and OEM comes from, do you have a source for that, maybe the cired paper?

Concerning self-sufficiency and self-consumption I see the following:

  • self-sufficiency == new degree of autonomy :white_check_mark:
  • self-consumption needs to be adapted. If we want to exclude losses I propose:

CodeCogsEqn

If OEF and OEM is different from these we could just have them additionally.

This is solved for pvcompare, as we are going to calculate KPIs in post-processing - we need a fast solution now. I don't close this issue as you might discuss this later for MVS.
