[documentation] way of giving references in RTD
Now references are only given as a number in brackets incl. link, but the author name cannot be seen in rtd directly. see here
I would suggest to just enter the author name e.g. text text text (Lemoine et al., 2020)
What do you think @smartie2076 ? Late issue of course, sorry, I just came across when I thought I should already review a new PR and references were still missing.
I thought it would be enough because the cite is basically a website and displays when hovering over the link. Also, bracket cites are the ones I am used to.
Would be open to write the name and year like you proposed though.
In the new PR #885 I am starting to implement (Author, Year). Reference links go do the list, not individual entries. That would actually be possible with RTD and bibtex though: https://sphinxcontrib-bibtex.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usage.html
