If the application can't handle invalid input, it's surely a bug in the application ;)
I'm seeing this as well. Since I'm on an 80Mbps connection, the CPU is effectively the bottleneck. A friend, @malinkb, is on 250Mbps (both symmetric) and is seeing the same....
