JSON elements displayed out of order

When quickviewing a JSON file, the elements are not at all in the same order as they are in the file. Why doesn't it just display the literal text from the file, as any other text quickview would? What's up with the rearranging? It's confusing, as some JSON files are structured in an order and have whitespace to make things easier to read.
