Demonstration
Hello, Could you add some demonstration in README for clarification:
- may be screenshot
- may be view as in wiki for ed editor https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_(text_editor)
- may be video https://asciinema.org
There is a good demo by Russ here: https://research.swtch.com/acme Also read the acme and sam papers mentioned in that blog post. Then there is acme(1) and acme(4) man pages.
I'd actually add a godoc documentation with more help for newbies and then link to https://godoc.org/github.com/rjkroege/edwood, but having some images/videos in the README also sounds good.
Thank you for clarification.
It took me a very long time to figure out the basics of acme. I believe that it wasn't until I came across that Russ Cox page and perhaps one or two youtube videos before I understood the basics. It would be great if edwood could go over those key concepts more directly somehow so that it's easier for newcomers.
I created a Github Wiki for Edwood. PRs featuring notes, howto docs, etc. are welcome.
