Disable Multiple Cursors

How can I disable multiple cursors (i.e. multi-select)?

I see that the feature was added back in 2019, but I can't figure out how to turn it off.

Why would I want to turn it off?

Because I frequently use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V along with the mouse and often end up with two cursors when I do my paste, which F's up my code. This effect may be down to my laptop keyboard, holding Ctrl a moment too long, or possibly related to touching the track pad at the same time. Whatever the reason, it wouldn't be an issue if I could just turn multi-select OFF.

In searching for a solution, I am across the same issue discussed for Atom and VS Code, but it appears that those editors do provide a means to disable multiple cursors.

Thanks! Where will this setting be located?
