On Windows 10 x64 bit the Installer Version x64 bit run slower than normal and make slow the whole system
I downloaded the x64 bit version with installer, I replaced with the installer the original microsoft notepad with Notepad3.
All times that I open a file (text, php, js, html) with Notepad3 my desktop becomes slow, other apps are quite busy and after closing Notepad3 my desktop all comes back to normal.
I suspect that when Notepad3 is open it slows down the entire operating system, it may be that it uses up the PC resources excessively and produces more or less noticeable slowdowns, the strange thing is that as soon as I close Notepad3 everything returns to normal speed and not there is no slowdown.
Could it be that Notepad3 x64 bit is badly optimized?
I have Windows 10 Home x64bit with intel core i7 4790 @ 4.00 Ghz, 16 GB RAM DDR3, SSD, 4K HDR Monitor, nVidia GT 1030 2 GB DDR5.
Some suggestion?
Very strange, I've installed Notepad3 on many Windows 7 and Windows 10 and never I've noticed an abnormally slow down. 🤔

I'm running windows 10 on 3840x2160 pixel of resolution on 60 hz and 135 khz.
My suggestion: 🤔
- Completely uninstall your current version
- Install the latest Release version: Notepad3_5.21.1129.1_Setup.zip
- Or install the latest Beta version: Notepad3_5.22.121.1_beta_Setup.7z

This is my config about Notepad3
Use the Task-Manager to identify the process which cause the CPU utilization). Maybe it is Notepad3 or another process (triggered by Notepad3, e.g. an Anti-Malware Scanner).
Quite strange, cause you are the first one, reporting this issue and we are not able to reproduce this.
Notice the Notepad3 window under the Task Manager, the GPU when Notepad3 is open has very high values!
The value of 88,2% is related to Desktop Window Management when Notepad3 is open!
🤔 very strange. Just poking around in the fog: try to set Menu->Settings->Technology->Rendering->GDI (no ligatures)

With GDI (no ligatures)
seems did the trick at moment, maybe should be set by default to this value in future releases?
For Your Info: A search on "Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) High CPU Usage" shows many issues possible related with a bad driver of the Display Adaptor. 🤔

Thanks, the causes are several,
- HDR on 4K Monitor (3840x2160)
- Non-optimized nVidia drivers
- Apps not optimized for very high resolutions
At the moment I want HDR, I want 4K resolution, I want use my nVidia graphic card, other is not my stuff.
I appreciate you efforts. Thanks very much.
