Suggestion : AUTOSAVE

I wish we could close the Notepad and whatever is in would be saved and reappear magically on next launch. Of course it would be a plus if the saved data were to be encrypted =)

Duplicate of #1665, so this feature request is already in the development backlog (also see my own issue report #3514 which mentions the usefulness of an autosave option as well).

For me, it would be useful to auto-save to some a temporary file the contents of a Notepad3 that has not been saved to any file. Often, when writing a program, I open several instances of the Notepad3 and paste some of my program's code snippets that I later paste elsewhere in the program's code. In the event of a system hang/crash, it would be possible to recover the unsaved text of the Notepad3 windows.

This issue is mis-named; that's not "AUTOSAVE", it's "Persist unsaved changes". And I'd very much like to see it. For me, that's the feature I'm missing in MS Notepad. Notepad++ has it, but that one is a bit of a behemoth.
