Suggestion: Add command palette to replace menu and toolbar
Dark mode is very cool for np3, but menubar and toolbar is not comfortable:
- menubar still white in dark mode.
- toolbar is small (even scale) and only provide little function access.
I suggest remove them, provide command palette as vs code for keyboard access.

That's… an opinion.

You can both hide the menu bar and the tool bar (and also the status bar) if you don't want to see them: View
> Panels
.
No need to completely remove them. For everyone. Without an option to get them back. Will all the effort to implement a command palette for keyboard access. Just to create a VSCode clone.
If you want VSCode, then use VSCode. Otherwise you can already adapt NP3 to your needs in many aspects with many many options.
I know I can hide menu bar and the tool bar. And it is not I want VSCode, I just want to make np3 better.

Okay. I don't get the problem then. You don't like to see them, you can get rid of them. What is missing?
And it is not I want VSCode, I just want to make np3 better.
That's honorable, but IMHO you fail to explain how exactly? You suggested to remove existing functionality ("remove menubar and toolbar").
You seem to want that command palette of VSCode as additional input possibility for your commands? You can achieve everything in NP3 via the menus (and the respective key combos where defined, so most functionality is easily available within a few key strokes as well) while in VSCode the menus are way less crowded with the full functionality "hidden" resp. available only via the command palette.
So in VSCode the overall design is different: the command palette is a basic input tool required for accessing all features, while in NP3 it would represent only an additional interface. That might be useful for you, but not too many other users (I assume) searching for a "simple" editor.
I have no word here so let's wait for a comment from the developers, but to me this seems like a lot of coding effort, contributing additional complexity to our good old NP3 ☺
The Command Palette makes sense, having hundreds of commands (like VSCode) and no Accelerator-Keys available anymore. Notepad3 is close to that situation. I'll take it as an additional feature to menu and toolbar, putting it as "further development idea", but it will definitely stay behind "customizable Accelerator-Keys (Shortcuts)".
