i am also getting this error : Invariant Violation: requireNativeComponent: "RiveReactNativeView" was not found in the UIManager.

@mourice38, make sure you run pod install in the ios folder of the React Native project.

I broke my head over this for a good few hours. Hopefully this will help some more folks.

Here's what fixed it for me:

  1. In your RN project's /ios/Podfile, update platform :ios to target 16 (or higher). Cocoapods does not install the correct native Rive runtimes otherwise.
  2. Remove your current pods from the project with pod deintegrate
  3. Re-install them with pod install --repo-update. The update bit needs to be explicit because of the behaviour change described here.

I also have this issue, but on android. So all those iOS fixes wont help.

Unfortunately, rive-react-native wasn't supported in combination with Expo. I'm not sure if this issue still exists, as I haven't tried it.

I am also having this error on Android, but I'm not using expo. I started my project with react-native-community/cli
