Same problem. Every time I open vscode, it makes 'loading extension time' too long for me.

No fixed solution, I have to uninstall this extension.

It's taking time to load and my web pages are not getting connected/linked with each other the way they would if I open then through direct path. I made me had a headache, I thought I wrote some error in the code and wasted 40 mins on trying to resolve it and uninstall it. And used the regular way.

Are you running the latest version , I noticed the issue went away after i updated VSCODE.
