Please create a new index called "Text incipits", entries taken from (031) in source records.

It depends what you want to do with the index. If you just need a list of all the Text incipit values used in the system, yes. It you want to manipulate them in a way that the sources that use them, currently it is not possible, and we would need to do quite a bit of redesign in Muscat and cleanup to make it work. The reason is the same as in #1347, the Text incipits do not link to the Sources, so I cannot say (with certainty at least) in which sources a give text incipit is used.

We need the four standard actions "Create" and "Merge", also "Add all to a new folder" and "Add all to an existing folder" Not to forget the magnifying glass in 031 of sources.

So unfortunately with how we structure our data none of those actions are really possible to implement. What are your exact requirements to do? I imagine it would be like for the standard titles, where changing an entry in the index automatically fixes the sources?

Yes. Same actions/ functions like for the standard titles, especially Create and Merge.
