Support explicit softCommits

Not really sure how this can fit into the current usage...

Since I need to start doing this immediately, the only solution I'm seeing right now (short of many code changes) is to fork the module and change the commit=true flags to softCommit=true. Would love this feature considered in the future though.

Hey @mshick I have no running solr projects and so I won't be able to manage the library. If you want to continue this project forward, I can make you the collaborator.
