progbufsize of 1 is not supported

For memory read and write, at least, a progbufsize of 1 is not supported.

I have patches to enable this, but execute_fence fails too I believe, and I have not patched that. I cannot provide a pull request as is right now - I know the patch needs coding style changes and I probably have not cleaned it yet. But this is a place-holder.
