I am not sure I understand what you want to achieve? Can you show an example?

What i meant was if i open an local image (eg. file:///Users/deora/Desktop/maxresdefault.jpg) in the browser and try to run the plugin it doesn't show the selector. Whereas same works if i open the image from a http url eg. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/-gTn4Q-9Lk8/maxresdefault.jpg

Oh I see, didn't think about that use case. I would have to check that. But it could require more effort
