The default profile has huge storage requirements

As an example I take the Netherlands, it just downloaded 2.5GB(!)

However when using the Android app OsmAnd~, I can select either the standard map (~1GB), a road-only map (~320MB), or those 2 options for single provinces. As you can see, even with the full featured map it's less than half of what osmscout-server wants to download.

I'm sure osmscout-server can use less storage space when using a different profile, but imo the default provider shouldn't out of the box use that much storage

Storage is something I compromised with to get it work. In principle, osm scout server is using more storage space than other map applications. This is due to using multiple libs for different services. As a result, information is stored multiple times - not always the same, but still having an impact on storage.
