Keyboard not working as controller

Following apples recent IOS 26 update for the iPad the Apple magnetic keyboard no longer works as a controller. It shows keyboard in the controller settings but none of the keys bind or work in game

I am also able to reproduce this issue. It has been present since the first iPadOS 26 beta.

Same here with 8bitdo controller that works on “keyboard mode” - old bindings are visible in the app but there’s no input.
