DS Fast Forward Speed Slower Than Expected on iPad

I saw in the release notes for 1.6 that the DS fast forward speed was increased for devices with an A15 or better, yet my M1 iPad Pro’s fast forward speed is noticeably slower than my iPhone 14 Pro’s. Shouldn’t the M1 easily meet the performance requirements for this change?
