error when reinstalling alstoer to iphone after deleted altstore
on computer this error pops up
failed to write serialized MlBundleMetadata to /private/var/containers/temp/bundle/application
entered username and password correctly and after prompt of allowing to install will disable altstore on previously installed devices that error pops up and i cannot instal appstore also along with trying to install signed apps off sites like appcake etc after selecting install nothing happens the apps dont show up on the homescreen this all happened same time the issue with installing altstore is occuring in case that provides any helpful info.

how do i fix this error to install altstore?
Same issue on Mojave and Catalina ios 13.5, ipad, already jailbroken by unc0ver
From ssh, I can see that it created /private/var/containers/Temp/Bundle/Application, but it is empty.

Only a complete reset of the phone with data helps, how to avoid this? And what prompted this mistake? I can't understand it, it's sad
Can anyone find the solution for this kind of error? This also bricks any type of sideloading, not just AltStore and App Store
Any fixes that doesn't includes data loss

Me for sure... maybe this person removed it's data and restore the system (fabric settings/iTunes recovery) to fix this because no one give to this person and of course, no one to me what is an alternative fix we can apply if we're jailbroken to fix this error without restoring the system (data loss)

Hi, ive been using 13.4 for about 3 years now with no issues, however at the weekend i was unable to resign any apps on reprovision with this error message, i tried removing unc0ver and adding it again, the exact same.
i then tried to unjailbreak the device and install altstore again, and i receive the same error message.
im not unable to install any apps from appstore :/ Meaning the phone is pretty much useless now.
Please can you help with a solution which means i wont lose my jailbreak or data?

you can try to uninstall the tweak you recently install or just go back to a old version.

i think short of being able to jailbreak via dfu mode it is impossible to fix this error without fully resetting phone and losing all data, and noone has dfu jailbreaks so i genuinely think its impossible to fix this
Problem resolved: Via ssh run the below commands (one by one):
chown root:wheel /var/tmp/ chown mobile:wheel /var/tmp/com.apple.appstored/ chmod 777 /var/tmp chmod 700 /var/tmp/com.apple.appstored/ killall -9 appstored
No idea what broke it, but heres the solution for others.
