(Windows) AltServer - Automatically start at startup doesn't work anymore
Hello,
now when AltServer is started automatically on startup, AltStore wont be able to detect it, you have to close AltServer and relaunch it for it to work.
What version of Windows are you running? Testing on Window 10 seemed fine, so wondering if this is W11 only
I'm using Windows 10 Build 19045 If set at auto startup it does not work immediately the first time. I wonder if it is because I plug my phone after AltServer was started? (Im on ethernet so I can't just use wifi)
Didn't find a solution. Work around for me was just to start it manually when needed
Nevermind. I found the fix, so altstore isnt detecting the device since it is starting before windows actually made a connection to any wifi to fix this instead of the auto start at the altstore option, I created a task scheduler for launching altserver after windows has made connection to the internet.
Step 1: Search for task scheduler in windows
Step 2: On the Right side click on "Create Task"
Step 3: Name it whatever you want and copy the settings and make sure it has highest privelage enabled
Step 4: Trigger Tab Create a new Trigger then copy these
Step 5: Conditions Tab tick start only if the following network connection is available and choose any connection
Step 6: Click Ok and test it out (Make sure altstore option "Automatically launch at startup" is disabled and altstore is isnt in the startup folder either. (shell:startup)
Step 7: Enjoy :)
