Does cloud function notification doesn't need notification code in the mobile app

Dear Riggaro, I have deployed the function of notification as you mentioned. But as I have seen in your code you didn't write the code to handle the notification. I just wanna ask does the cloud function that send the notification, doesn't need the notification code in the application side?

Logically it should handle the notification but as you didn't write notification handle code so I am confuse could you please tell me and expand my knowledge related to this side.
