I can help with this! I have a Lazarus env set up that I've been saving in case there was ever an effort here. If you have a fork let me know, I will clone it down and we can work on putting together a buglist.

For Linux or Mac you may use HakuNeko instead of FMD ...

Even the main project is nearly dead, so follow up the idea of @ChocolateOtaku.

No point in porting it, it works perfectly under wine. Dont have to install anything extra either ive been using the 64bit version Screenshot from 2019-06-01 00-05-32

Why should you paint a car red if it is possible to get a Ferrari?

  1. It is a contradiction that you install a windows emulator to run an application on *nix, instead of a native build (what is the point in using linux anyway if running everything through wine)
  2. I can also install windows side by side to my linux and can avoid wine emulation at all
  3. wine + FMD is not working for MacOSX and certain other linux distributions or does it for you? If yes please post some tutorials
  4. You can not develope and compile FMD from source under wine or can you? If yes please post a tutorials
  5. For me HakuNeko is the best option for downloading mangas on MacOSX and Linux
