Do I have to use port 80? I can't connect to the server after changing port 80 in config

You can use another port yeah, but it needs some workarounds. I would rather advise to troubleshoot the problem you have really. If all fails I got a manual for such a thing somewhere.

What is erroring for you exactly? Is Port 80 maybe blocked or something?

In my country, port 80 is not allowed when setting up a server. I have to get permission first.

I will add some documentation at a later date regarding running the server on another port than 80. On the server-side it is not much of a problem to just run it on say port 81, you can just edit the config to do that. You would have to edit this line: https://github.com/ricochhet/Erupe/blob/e7c7d77aacb746b44941f9cafd0050df900a939e/config.json#L26

which is easy enough, but the client then runs into problems since it expects the server to be on port 80 and not 81. You can get around that restriction no problem, but it requires some more setup and explanation.

Sadly you will have to wait for me to add more documentation on the exact process on how to this. This will likely be when May rolls around, so I need some of your patience on this.

Sadly no the script is not compatible with the TW-version of the game, thats why it has "jp" in the name of the file.

Hello, In case stefan you hae the documentation for changing the client port from 80 to another, I am having the same case as other critical services are using the port 80.

I know however I could get around this by having a separate server for this or close all those services when I wish to start up frontier server.

Will be willing to wait for documentation on how to change client side port.
