I think the stratum protocol has changed a lot since I wrote this.

I haven’t had a chance to look at this in a while, but it is intended mostly as an educational example of how to interpreter the Bitcoin (and related alt-coin) endianess.

What is the error you are getting? Can you provide an example stratum URL you are trying to connect to?
