Hand scanner stuck on Waiting to Pair
I'm using a dell laptop running Ubuntu 20.04 connected to an iPhone SE 2. When I scan the QR code with my phone, it brings me to the ryanis.cool page and tells me to "Position the checkerboard fully within the camera view." I'm not entirely sure what that means but I've tried getting it close to the screen and just having the checkerboard in frame, and I've tried getting the entire laptop screen in frame. It won't move on from this step. The screen still just says [3/6] Waiting to pair.
Hey. The pairing isn't dependent on whether the checkerboard is in frame or not. It's just waiting for your phone and laptop to establish a WebRTC connection over your local internet.
I'd check the browser console on your laptop to see if there's any interesting errors then. However, more likely than not, it's something funky on your router/firewall blocking the two devices from talking to each other. I'd try turning on your phone hotspot and connecting your computer to that or doing the scan on another wifi network.
