I would drop our license handling, too. The sooner, the better. After the upgrade to go 1.21 that introduced "toolchain", the license checker is broken for any toolchain not bundled...

One suggestion is to allow dynamically assigned ports in d-m-p without associated properties and then compute property names where to put the assigned port into. E.g. sth like `port__`. Would...
