dropping words

When I navigate around the screen, Espeak is not reading some words.

There seems to be a corelation between higher speech rate and more dropped words, but I can't get a more concrete pattern than that. At 450 wpm, no single-syllable words are spoken; this includes most of the letters on the Google Keyboard.

I am using a samsung S4 on android 5.0.2.
