maldet + clamav trying to scan clamav's tmp folders

Maybe clamav's tmp folders could be exempted from being scanned? Isn't this a vicious circle if maldet triggers clamav and then scans its own tmp files or am I misreading this? Seeing this in the logs while maldet is active in monitor mode using clamav
