Write NDEF TEXT (write test into tags) is not working

I'm using the NFC ReWriter App to send text, email, links, SMS, and other data from one Android device to another, but I haven't been successful. Each time I try, I encounter an error message stating 'NFC Error: unsupported tag API.' Can you please tell me what might be causing this issue?
