Regression

It seems that my PR #273 has caused a regression where the first element will sometimes not appear.

if I change : currentSlides = |] on L291 to currentSlides, this doesn't happen but this is obviously not a good fix, does anyone know why this would be happening ?

Having the same issue. Removing the initial array fixes it for me too.
