bug: Confirmation emails not delivered to certain domains
It seems that Stoat’s account confirmation emails are not being delivered to some less common email domains.
I did not get emails for proton.me and simplelogin.com. I was only successful with gmail.com. I checked spam/junk folders and the messages never arrived. The issue appears to be domain-specific since the same process works immediately when using Gmail. Tested on Chrome, Brave and the Linux Desktop application.
This issue may affect users who rely on privacy-focused email services and could prevent them from registering.
I use my own domain through Proton, and I am receiving emails without any issues

I've tried it and with a proton.me it works but not with simplelogin domain. Either a bug or block domain, if its the latter idk why you would do that...
i can reproduce this on the public instance... not getting any confirm mails on proton and their passfwd service
This is still happening
SimpleLogin domains were purposefully blocked some time ago due to abuse. Proton shouldn't have any issues. If you are encountering issues with Proton emails directly, further information would be appreciated.
what information do you need?
@user0-07161 You stated you are using a passfwd domain email via SimpleLogin, no?
simplelogin? no, proton pass
but even my @proton.me email didn't work
Tried another address, still not receiving a confirmation email after 10 minutes.
If domains are allow-listed, is there anyone I can contact to allow a domain from my provider?
simplelogin? no, proton pass
I guess simplelogin and proton pass have the same alias domain lists
FYI this is not specific to proton emails
Proton owns SimpleLogin and uses its functionality in Proton Pass.
Many email forwarding services have been blocked due to recurring abuse. There are no plans to change this.
If you are having issues with any specific email provider and not using a temporary, illegitimate, or forwarding service, please report the issue separately.
