Until this is solved, I took some proactive action and made [lerna-clean-changelogs-cli](https://www.npmjs.com/package/lerna-clean-changelogs-cli). It cleans all changelogs by running `lernacleanchangelog` in the root [during builds](https://gitlab.com/codsen/codsen/blob/master/package.json#L28). For posterity, if JSON ever changes...
