Sign Firefox Addon
Hey @rev087!
The Firefox addon at http://ng-inspector.org/ cannot be installed on Firefox Developer Edition (FDE) since all addons have to be signed from v42 onwards (according to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Addons/Extension_Signing#Timeline). FDE currently is on v42.
Could you please submit your addon to Mozilla to have it automatically reviewed and maybe even hosted on the addon marketplace? I'd really appreciate it! Further instructions about how to sign an addon can be found here: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2015/02/10/extension-signing-safer-experience/
Thanks! If you need any help, please let me know.
Hey @SteffenLanger. Thanks for the report!
We'd like to get the extension back in the Firefox marketplace, but there is some work required before that can happen (see #113).
We've both been pretty busy lately, but if you'd like to tackle some of the issues, we'd love the support.
I opened a pull request last week at https://github.com/rev087/ng-inspector/pull/137. I know you have a lot to do currently
For other developers having the same issue: Firefox Developer Edition and Firefox Nightly both allow to install unsigned addons if configured correctly (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Addons/Extension_Signing#FAQ).
Bump. Firefox version 43.0 just completely broke ng-inspector.
I'm also looking forward for ng-inspector to be pushed to Mozilla's Marketplace. I can also confirm that the ng-inspector is not working on FF 43.0.2 / Win server 2012 (it shows just a gray panel).
FF 48, which came out today, no longer supports the workaround of disabling signature checking. The addon is dead on today's FF and moving forward unless you sign it.
It's 2017 and the addon still cannot be used. Any news on this?
@MatejQ I gave up and just don't use it anymore. It doesn't work with Angular2 anyway, so it's shelf life is limited.
Well, I have used it in Chrome on Angular 2 application but it was sluggish and crashing (maybe because the application was a more complex one). So I thought that maybe Firefox wouldn't have this issue. Anyway, looks like it is dead, that's a shame :(
augury try it
