Connection lost: Network Protocol Error

Describe the bug Client can't connect proxy running PE build 697 or higher

Software brand Proxy: Velocity 3.4.0-SNAPSHOT (git-fe69214e-b514) + packetevents-velocity-2.9.0-702 Server: Purpur 1.21.5 Client: Minecraft 1.21.5

Plugins Irrelevant. Double checked on test server that PE is the issue.

How To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Join with client.
  2. Client gets disconnected with Network Protocol Error
  3. Revent to PE build 693
  4. Try joining
  5. See that it works again

Expected behavior Client can connect without problems

FYI: Pretty sure this is the same problem I'm getting in #1257 - I get the same error on the client but haven't found a workaround yet. Cannot get PE 2.9.0 working successfully at all on velocity.

No, it's been magically solved, somewhere around build 705-710
