SD Cartridge Problem

Open pazuzu72 opened this issue 1 month ago • 7 comments

The software works great on my Plus/4. It would be very convenient to use on my "Joco's SD drive," but unfortunately the program freezes immediately after starting. Is there a way to fix this? (I tried version 0.30.)

I'm not familiar with that cartridge, there's probably some RAM/ROM banking problem, I'll see what I can find

I was looking at the cartridge manual and it says that IEC commands other than LOAD and SAVE (ie: OPEN, CLOSE) are not supported. The latest Retroterm v0.30 wip uses those commands to check for the configuration file. Are you using that version or the old v0.20 release?

I'm using 0.30 version...v0.20 has same problem.

Can you try this version?

rt-cbm-p4.zip

This version doesn't work either. I tried it with Pi1541 and it worked fine. Is there a way to prevent it from checking the configuration file completely?

If you have the same problem with v0.20 then the configuration file is not the issue here.

There's either a banking problem (that last test was trying to address that, but I might have missed something), or the cartridge modifies some system vector.

Ah, did you try loading retroterm from BASIC using the ´@´ commands?

Charging it directly WORKS! Thank you!!
