Inconsistent spacing of social media icons between email clients

When attempting to recreate the bug associated with issue #1796 we discovered there is a discrepancy with how the social media icons render in IOS vs Gmail, specifically the spacing between the icons. On IOS there appears to be more padding between the icons as compared to Gmail. See screenshots

To Reproduce

1. Click on the link to reproduce the issue
2. Click on the Send button in upper right hand corner
3. Send a test email to IOS Mail
4. Repeat and send another test email to a Gmail address

Expected Behavior

Once you have a test email sent to both Mail and Gmail, you should see the rendering difference within the social media icons.
