Feature: Show software maturity on the project pages

I've been encouraged in the past to put my software in the RSD even though it was still in development. A potential downside of that is that doing so could disappoint potential users who see it, install it, and find that it doesn't actually do anything yet. On the other hand, there may be people who are looking for something like it, and in the absence of a fully working solution would rather have something to contribute to than starting another identical project from scratch. So it's good to have incomplete software listed as well.

So, it's probably a good idea to list software early, but it would be good to do some expectation management. Python has a "Development Status" classifier for this, with values 1) Planning, 2) Pre-Alpha, 3) Alpha, 4) Beta, 5) Production/Stable, 6) Mature, 7) Inactive. Maybe the RSD could have something like this too, and display it on the software description page?

We are having similar discussions in CLARIAH that may be relevant: https://github.com/CLARIAH/clariah-plus/issues/98
