[feat]Make color profile effected after HDR on/off
Very useful APP. But it don't make color profile effected even I set as default (1 icm for SDR and 1 icm for HDR, both set as default). I had to go to setting-system-dieplay (or run ms-settings:display), and it will effected automatilly. This (issue, perhaps) is the same with shortcut "win+alt+b".
Is there any way to make the color profile effected when switch HDR/SDR?
Hm, I just checked on a machine that happens to have both an "SDR" and "HDR" profile configured.
If I keep the settings open while switching between SDR and HDR (using either HDRTray or Win+Alt+B) I can see the current color profile change accordingly. Does that not occur for you?
However, I'm not quite sure this happens when settings are not open. So, I would have to look into some way to independently see the active color profile.
Not sure when I get around to that. Also, I didn't do a lot with color profiles so far.
Thanks for reply. I always switch HDR/SDR without keep the settings open. I use shortcut/HDRTray as quick action and my color profiles contains calibration inside (white balance for SDR and maximun luminance, gamma pure power of SDR transfer for HDR).
If I switch SDR/HDR in settings, it works automatilly. But switch it by shortcut/HDRTray, I need to open settings-sysrem-display to make it effected. This is very easy to observe: for HDR, black area of UI become pure black, no more grey mist on it. For SDR, saturation and white balance become normal.
It seems that HDR switch in settings is seperated 2 workflows: 1 is feature switch and 2 is check and make color profile effected. Workflow 2 is execute automatically (or onchange) when open settings-system-display (also works when run ms-settings:display-hdr or ms-settings:display).
