Limit the number of requests to the same amount than the number of loans
How it works
In the patron type, it is possible to limit the number of loans, but this has no impact on the number of allowed requests. For example, a patron who is allowed to borrow 3 items can therefore submit requests without restriction.
Improvement suggestion
- Add a toggle in the patron type called "Limit per request". It contains 2 fields
- Number of requests within the whole organisation. Description: The checkout is blocked once the specified checkout number is reached by the patron. This is a global checkout limit. It applies to requests on the same principle.
- Number of requests per library. Description: The checkout is blocked once the specified checkout number is reached by the patron for items of the same owning library. This is the same limit for all libraries. It applies to requests on the same principle.
- Add the restriction in the circulation back-end.
